Dear Fellow Uditan:

Greetings to you and your family!

Your Home – “UDITA” is getting dressed up for yet another year’s of celebrations staring off with Durga Puja in October 2005. The new Udita Utsav Committee 2005 (UUC05) has sung into action to make the joyful days of festivities more colorful and enjoyable.

Durga Puja is the time when uditans celebrate “togetherness” and they cannot miss out those uditans who are physically located a little far away from Udita but are spiritually with them. Thus all resident uditans collectively send out this “Very Special Invitation” to Non-resident Uditans for joining them with their families during Durga Puja and keep up the “Spirit of Togetherness”.

This year UUC05 propose to web-cast most of the happening during Durga Puja days and uditans who can not make it “Home” this Durga Puja can be virtually there at Udita through this facility. UUC05 will furnish the details of connectivity in due course.

Since Nabami and Dashami are on the same day, October 12, 2005 this year UUC05 will start the events from Chaturthi, October 7^th 2005. Lakshmi Puja will be celebrated on October 16, 2005 and Shri Kalyan Sen Barat and his troupe will perform in Udita on the occasion of Bijoya Sammelani on October 22, 2005 evening. Like every year, there will elaborate arrangements for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner during all days of Durga Puja.

All uditans are coming forward to make this year Pujo a grand success. They are working hard to raise funds through advertisements in our souvenir and sponsorships for various events. UUC05 look forward to the non-resident uditans to join hands with them and be part of this great effort in the following ways.

a) Send your Resident’s Subscription.

b) Send your Donation for various events.

c) Help us getting advertisements from your relatives and friends in India for our special commemorative souvenir for their businesses.

d) You and your family members are cordially invited to contribute an article, poem or painting for the souvenir. Please arrange to reach them by September 30^th 2005 to either Surajit (bsurojit@yahoo.com) or Rajesh (apex4scf@vsnl.net).

e) You can add/ update your details in Udita Professionals Directory, for the third year, which lists the residents by their qualification and professions. For an insertion of your detail just email to G. Jayant (jayanthg@vsnl.net) latest by 30^th September 2005.

f) In addition to all above, you may like to offer your puja to Ma-Durga for which you may please forward to us your name, gotra and along with desired amount of dakshina.

UUC05 is sure to get your continuous support and look forward to meet you at Udita during the festival.
