Dear Fellow Resident,                                                             

 

Greeting to you and all your family members! It gives us immense pleasure to bring you an update of the current and forthcoming activities of our community.

 

1.      The members of the present Udita Utsav Committee 2005 (UUC05) were elected at the General Body Meeting on the day of Kathamo Puja on 08.07.05 and they officially took up the charges on and from 24.07.05.

 

2.      UUC05 have already intimated residents about the Utsav Calender 2005-06 consisting of 14 events to be celebrated during its tenure. The same has been put up on the notice boards at each tower. UCC05 propose to organize additional events and the “Memento Distribution Programme” with a film show on 07.08.05 was one of them.

 

3.      The UUC05 committee members have elected the conveners of various subcommittees and their names have been also put up on notice boards at each tower. Residents are once again requested to contact Ms. Anusua Bhaduri (1055) for Cultural programmes, Mr. S K Bhadra (3104) for Fund-raising, Mr. Prasanta Mukherjee (2018) for Rituals, Mr. K. K. Nair (7074) for Public Relations, Mr. Rajesh Pathak (7104) for Publication of Souvenir, Mr. Amal Saha (1085) for Light, Sound & Pandal and Mr. Susobhan Sarkar (7095) for Immersion programme for their participation in the various activities of the sub-committees to make them successful.

 

4.      Like every year, our in-house talents are being encouraged to perform in all the cultural programmes during the festive days of Durga Puja this year. This year “Bijoya Sammelani” will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, 2005 evening with the renowned professional artiste, Sri Kalyan Sen Barat and this team.

 

5.      This year the 3rd edition of ‘Udita Professional Directory’ will be released during the Puja with a new flavour. Instead of repeating the same details, it will contain only the updates and some other useful databases.

 

6.      UUC05 will publish a colourful and content-rich souvenir this year too. All residents are requested to contribute to the contents for its enrichment. Please submit your literary contents (in English, Hindi or Bengali) to Mr. Rajesh Pathak (7104) for inclusion in the souvenir at the earliest. The school and college going young uditans are specially requested to submit their art works, articles & poems etc. for the souvenir.

 

7.      UUC05 propose to come out with a quarterly newsletter starting off before Pujo this year. It will have the current news on Udita, UUC activities and other literary contents. We need a large number of volunteers to support this venture. UUC05 request residents, across all age-groups, to come forward to make this a success. Call Surajit (1027), Anusua (1055), Sampa (1112), Poushali (1072), Rajesh (7104) for your participation.

 

8.      Last year our own catering for breakfast, lunch & dinner has been a great success in terms of quality of food and service during the Durga Puja. This year the challenge has been taken up by the same dedicated team of volunteers. UUC05 will formally announce the details of the arrangements in due course.

 

9.      UUC05 have decided to keep the minimum ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION fixed at Rs. 600/-  per family/flat. UUC05 would sincerely welcome any donations over and above Rs. 600/-. UUC05 appeals to all residents to pro-actively cooperate in its drive to mobilize fund to meet the deficits by collecting maximum of numbers of advertisements for the souvenir, rope-in sponsors or simply by their generous donations.

 

10.  UUC05 representatives from each tower will shortly get in touch with you to collect the subscription and distribute advertisement contract forms. The list of representatives is given below for your information. Alternately, you may also call up any of them to meet you at your convenience and they will be glad to do so.

 

11.  UUC05 committee meets every Friday at 8.30 p.m. at the Saptami Reception to plan various activities. All residents are welcome to these meetings with ideas and  suggestions.

 

12.  The committee will keep you updated on the progress of our activities from time to time through such direct mailers, e-mail and also through website information at udita.net and udita.com.

 

The members of UUC05 believe that their fellow residents will have same excitement and energy level as they have in serving to its own community.
